Hydroheel: Behind the Chemistry

So, how does the Hydroheel formula transform skin so quickly?

Simple. The epidermal layer (top layer) of skin regenerates itself every two-three weeks. This amazing and natural process of the human body’s skin regeneration combined with the process of Hydroheel's therapeutic formulas makes it possible for deep cracks to be non-visible within seven days or less - and completely transformed within 30 days!

Hydroheel therapeutic ointments are a solid ointment that turn to liquid on contact with your skin. After melting, the formula flows into the spaces between cells and the gaps in the lipid barrier. Once there, it re-solidifies, locking itself in place, temporarily binding the cracks together, and thus creating a seal. This seal keeps in vitamins and nutrients and protects raw skin from exposure to harmful elements (sun, water, weather, chlorine, bacteria, etc.)  It also forms an occlusive barrier to the natural water loss of your skin. So, skin that is dry and chapped is protected from drying elements, enabling skin-softening moisture to build up naturally from inside the skin itself. This allows the skin to naturally heal itself from the inside out, by no longer letting the outside in.

What are the ingredients?

These natural ingredients in the right combination create the perfect formula designed to combat dry, flaky, itchy, odorous skin; while protecting skin from exposure to harmful elements, soothing muscle and irritation, as well as moisturizing, nourishing, and regenerating the skin’s surface.

Essential oils are organic compounds in concentrate, extracted from plants, and contain tremendous healing properties. Each Hydroheel product is tailored with the right essential oils that target healing for specific skin issues and areas of the body. The healing properties for each ingredient are as follows:

Liquid Paraffin

What better way to heal your body than straight from the earth itself. Liquid Paraffin is composed of organic compounds that are found in geologic formations beneath the earth's surface. Refined to it's purest form, this earthy oil has such powerful healing properties that it is used to treat eczema, sensitive skin irritations and diaper rash. Not only is it highly effective in skin healing, it is also known as the safest, most non-irritating cosmetics ingredient ever to be found (Cosmetics & Toiletries, January 2001, page 79; Cosmetic Dermatology, September 2000, pages 44–46).

Soft Paraffin

Soft paraffin is in the same family as paraffin wax and liquid paraffin. Discovered in 1859, this white, distilled oil, not only protects and prevents moisture loss of the skin, but it softens nail cuticles. Extracted from the earth into it's purest form, soft paraffin has been used in skin care for over 100 years, and is recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as an approved skin protectant. Due to it's powerful healing properties, it remains widely used in cosmetic, skin care, lip, and baby products today.

Avocado Oil

Known for its regenerative and moisturizing properties, avocado oil is is perfect for rebuilding damaged skin layers, and softening dry cells. Loaded with vitamin E, potassium, and lecithin, these primary skin-feeding nutrients are all easily absorbed through the epidermis (the outermost layer of the skin) and into the dermis where they provide energy for the growth and health of new skin as well as fortification of existing cells.

Grape Seed Oil

Produced in Europe, this delicious oil heals damaged and stressed tissues by possessing regenerative and restructuring qualities which allow for strong control of skin moisturization.
